Mr. Charles,

Right now you are peacefully sleeping in your room with “Little Bitty Baby Charlie Bear” tucked under your arm. Not much longer and you will be on the TOP bunk!

Charlie, you are INCREDIBLE! You are a little jokester and absolutely brilliant. Don’t believe us? Check out this line of questioning you had for your Daddy this morning at breakfast….

“Daddy, why do you do the same thing when you are saying ‘Hi’ and ‘Bye?’ You use five fingers to say ‘Hi’ and five fingers to say ‘Bye.’ Why is there just one sign? Why aren’t there different signs when you say ‘Hi’ and ‘Bye?’”

Dude, you are just under 3.5 years old! Where are you coming up with these questions?! Your mind is so cool!

Not only are you funny and smart, but you are strong willed. That means you don’t tend to back down without a fight (which, if we’re being honest can be a tad bit problematic at the moment), BUT we have no doubt that it’s a gift that God has put inside you - a gift that translates into you being a protector and a leader.

Your questions about life and your observations about the world around you are a wonderful thing. We pray that you never lose that wonder that make you Charlie!
